Community Meeting: Firearms & Survivor Safety – The Questions We Don’t Always Ask

July 9 @ 2:30 pm 4:00 pm CDT

How often are we talking with survivors about firearms? Join HCDVCC for a conversation about firearm risk, survivor safety, safe storage, and opportunities for intervention. Together, we’ll explore what research, practice, and prevention efforts can teach us about navigating these important conversations in a survivor-centered way.

Organizations in attendance will also have the opportunity to receive free gun safes, provided by former council member Abbie Kamin, to distribute to survivors as appropriate as part of safety planning efforts.
